Climate Walk in Sibiu

You are invited to a Climate Walk in Sibiu, organized by Pur și Simplu Verde, where we combine light physical activity with honest discussions about climate change, resilient cities, and our role as citizens.
We will start from Hotel Anastasia at 10:00 and for approximately two hours we will stop at key points in the city for guided discussions led by Climate Pact Ambassadors Ioana Petrescu and Laura Petrescu. The walk will end around 12:00.
What will we do during the walk?
Along the route, we will have open but guided conversations on essential topics for the future of our cities and communities:

- How do we protect cultural heritage in a rapidly changing climate?
- Lies' Bridge
We discuss mobility and transport:- How do our mobility choices influence carbon emissions?
- What does a pedestrian- and cyclist-friendly city look like?
- Cibin Market Area
We stop for a conversation on local food and climate:- Why does supporting local producers matter?
- How is our food choice linked to our carbon footprint?
- Along the Cibin River
We talk about water and the role of rivers:- How do rivers contribute to a city’s climate resilience?
- What does renaturation mean, and why is protecting aquatic ecosystems important?
- Petrofi Sandor Park
We discuss green infrastructure:- Why do we need more green spaces in cities?
- How do parks, trees, and green corridors help with climate adaptation?
Who is this for?
- People interested in the environment, climate, and human-friendly cities
- Students, pupils, professionals, or anyone wanting to better understand the link between daily life and the climate crisis
- Participation is free, but places are limited and require registration.
Route difficulty: easy, suitable for most ages (no special equipment needed — just comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing).
