A Year into Romania's Circular Economy Action Plan: Progress Review and Future Outlook

Event Description

Pur și Simplu Verde and the Center for Leadership and Innovation (SNSPA) organize an European Climate Pact satellite event on November 13, 2024, at the World Bank headquarters in Bucharest. This event focuses on the significant progress Romania has made in implementing the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) through the adoption and implementation of the Action Plan for the National Strategy on Circular Economy.

The roundtable will bring together a distinguished panel of speakers, including officials from the Prime Minister's Cabinet, the Ministry of the Environment, Education Ministry, NGO representatives, and officials from the World Bank. Together, they will review the Action Plan adopted last year, discuss its practical implementation and the role of the Recovery and Resilience Plan as its major source of financing.

This roundtable aims to highlight the strategic importance of circular economy principles in Romania's development policies and their alignment with broader European and global sustainability goals. It is an essential platform for collaboration among stakeholders from government, NGOs, and international institutions to advance the national agenda on the circular economy.
